General Information
Each January, on the Monday when children have the day off for the Martin Luther King Observance Day,
Baltimore Woods Nature Center runs a one-day Nature Adventure Day Camp for members.

Children ages 5-12 spend the day playing and exploring in the woods, fields and streams as well as participating in indoor activities such as arts and crafts and games, movies and guest speakers. Camp runs from 9am - 4 pm*.

Camp counselors are trained environmental educators or local certified teachers who are responsible for groups of 12 campers each. Counselors carry walkie-talkies and first aid kits when leading activities outdoors.

Children bring their own drinks and lunches. Baltimore Woods provides a morning and afternoon snack. Children should bring a water bottle, and a backpack.

Children should be prepared to go outside in all kinds of weather except electrical storms. Extra socks and gloves are a must for winter camps.

To register for camp, you must complete camp registration and medical forms by the first day of camp.

The camp fee is on the registration form.

* Early Care (8-9am) and After Care (4-5pm) are usually available for an additional cost.
