Baltimore Woods Nature Center's most important support is membership, please become a member today.

Baltimore Woods Nature Center, a self-funding, nonprofit organization founded in 1966 is dedicated to place-based education and stewardship of the natural environment.  Baltimore Woods is NOT a government agency, nor is it part of a town, county, state, or federal park systems.  Your membership dollars help provide:
  • A quiet place to hike for over 20,000 Central New Yorkers each year.
  • Maintenance of 182 acres of habitat and over six miles of trails for nature study, hiking, and quiet reflection.
  • A place where over 500 children attend nature day camp each year
Member Benefits include:

  • Quarterly newsletter subscription
  • Discounted or waived fees on public programs
  • Access to Members Only programs  and events such as Day Camps for children and teens or the Members Only Plant Sale
  • Opportunity to display your artwork in the Art Gallery

Migrates With You

Attention all winter migrants! Did you know that as a BW member you are entitled to reciprocal admission and discounts at a number of nature centers throughout the U.S. and Canada? For the benefit of our members who move along the Atlantic flyway to Florida, what follows is a list of Florida nature centers that offer free admission, free parking, or gift shop discounts.

** All items and money donated to Baltimore Woods are tax deductible. Baltimore Woods is a 501 (C) (3) tax exempt private non-profit, membership organization. It is classified under the environmental education division as filed with the Internal Revenue service in 1966.

Baltimore Woods Nature Center is not an affiliate of the County, State or Federal government or its organizations.
All funds donated help support continued environmental education programming at Baltimore Woods and/or benefit facilities improvement.
